Week 3-4
Most likely, your student teacher has picked up their first two preps and may be starting their third prep this week. Be sure to give written and verbal feedback regularly. Sometimes this may be as simple as the cooperating teacher asking, “how do you think that class period went?” As part of the observation forms that are found in the Cooperating Teacher Manual (pgs. 21-24), be sure to work with your intern on completing the Teaching Internship Weekly Evaluation Form. Spend some time together to discuss any areas where they may be need for growth, as well as the comments on the weekly form from the student teacher or cooperating teacher. Examples of this completed document can be found in this week’s “Example & Support Documents” area of the page and on our "Forms" page.

- Student teachers have their mid-point seminar on Wednesday, February 25th. This will be hosted on Zoom at 5pm.
- Be sure to review the lessons plans prior to the student teacher giving instruction, so that you can provide feedback. Interns may use the lesson template that is used at their school sites, or one that is suggested by the cooperating teacher. Information on lesson plans can be found on page 31 in the Student Teacher Handbook.
- The first cooperating teacher support zoom meeting will be held this month, February 11th at 3:45pm! The link for this meeting was emailed to you by Dr. Barry. Please make sure to mark it on your calendars!
